Don’t forget Pawtoberfest this weekend!

This Saturday is Pawtoberfest!  It really sounds like a good time and it helps pets in need, so come on out and walk with us.  I am hoping to make the walk (not the run) and I hope that you can too.  If you do go send us pictures!

WHO:              The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region kicks off Adopt-A-Dog Month with its fall fundraiser, PawtoberFest 5k.

WHAT:            The event includes a 5k fun run and walk that begins and ends at America the Beautiful Park (126 Cimino Dr.) at 9am.  You can register online at www.hsppr.org or the morning of the event at the park.  Then, after an exhilarating couple of miles, the party will continue at the dog festival, located at Nosh (121 S. Tejon) and the adjacent Alamo Square Park (215 S. Tejon) from 10am – 1pm.  There will be plenty of great food from both Nosh and McCabe’s, Bristol beer,  pet friendly vendors, an adoption event, and plenty of activities for the kids.  Bring the whole family – including the dog!

WHEN:            Saturday October 9, 2010

                              Race begins at 9am

                    Dog Festival goes from 10am – 1pm

WHERE:       PawtoberFest 5k fun run/walk – America the Beautiful Park, 9am.
