Samuel Walker made the agreement today in a Park County Courthouse. Walker owned a sled dog kennel in Hartsel and last December, Park County Sheriff’s Office found 8 dead and nearly 100 malnourished husky mix dogs.  The surviving dogs were taken to shelters around the state.

Diane Walker got off with only one misdemeanor and 2-years probation.

In the plea agreement, Walker will be on two years supervised probation and during that time he is not allowed to own any animals or be involved in any animal businesses.  Walker will also pay nearly 6-thousand in restitution. Walker will be sentenced in February and could face up to 90 days in prison.

His wife, Diane Walker pleaded guilty to misdemeanor animal cruelty.  She is on 2 years probation.
