Limited print will be available starting Thursday.

We here at Colorado Dog Blog love rescue dogs and we aren’t alone.  Well known artist Shepard Fairey loves them too and now he is donating his talent to help homeless pets.  Fairey might be best known for his red, white, and blue “HOPE” print of Barack Obama.  Now he has produced a similar print called “ADOPT”.  Money from sales of the print will go to Adopt-A-Pet.com, a non-profit website that helps find animals a new home.  Now this is the second print he has done for the non-profit. The first red/blue “ADOPT” print by Fairey sold out in under 90 minutes, so this latest version is also predicted to go fast.  The 400 limited gold and black print will go on sale Thurs., Sept. 24th .  Each print will be numbered and signed by Shepard Fairey and priced at $200 each.   If that is a little rich for your blood there are other items available with the image on it.

Adopt-a-Pet.com is North America’s largest non-profit pet adoption website, helping over 7,000 animal shelters, humane societies, SPCAs, pet rescue groups, and pet adoption agencies advertise their homeless pets to adopters for free.  Adopt-a-Pet.com displays photos and descriptions of adoptable pets to over 1.5 million people seeking to adopt a pet each month.   Adopt-a-Pet.com visitors may now also adopt a rabbit, horse, bird, reptile, amphibian, fish, farm-type animals and other small pets. So if you are looking for a pet or the print check out www.adopt-a-pet.com .
