Local top dogs win big in NYC

Champion Bugaboo's Big Shot wins a 3rd in the Herding Group/Courtesy WKC
Some local dogs are winning big in New York City this week.
Champion Bugaboo’s Big Shot won the prize of Best Old English Sheepdog at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show and was on last night’s television broadcast where he won third place in the herding group. Big Shot is owned by Jerson Valle and Colton Johnson.
Grand Champion Pinhurst Garret wins Best Irish Wolfhound/courtesy WKC
Also winning big was Irish Wolfhound Grand Champion Pinehurst Garret. “Garret” won Best Irish Wolfhound and also made his national television debut last night. He is owned by Karen Goodell.
Unfortunately neither dog will continue on to the Best of Show competition tonight, but the judge, Cindy Vogels is from Greenwood Village near Denver.

I know… Laura is a dear friend of mine, but they didn’t have her pic posted. Someone told me we had several local dogs that won Award of Merits, but I can’t confirm it and the WKC doesn’t have the hometowns listed.
