Soccer fans in Krakow have been warned that the Polish riot police ‘will come down on troublemakers like a bag full of anvils’.

An article in the Krakow Post warns of the harsh measures the police will take if visiting supporters step out of line.

ballbitingdogPolice claims they will use several techniques including dogs that are trained to bite directly in the testicles, and that is not the most severe of the punishments.  Other crowd control tactics are shotguns firing baton rounds, a truck-mounted water cannon affectionately known as ‘the typhoon’, a high tech sonic canon that makes people lose muscle control and loaded 9mm handguns.

The “anti-hooligan squads” are gearing up for the big Euro 2012 soccer matches and riots are not uncommon during the event.
