A Colorado Springs Postal Worker is getting around a little easier these days thanks to a service dog named “Bertha”.    “Bertha” is the first service dog ever to work with a postal worker, and just like all postal workers, she goes out in any weather!  “Bertha’s”  owner , Paul Gernert was diagnosed with PTSD after returning from the war in Iraq making it hard for him to do his daily routine, that was until “Bertha” came into his life.   Check out their story photographed and written by News First 5 photojournalist Jessica Michaels.
