Sled dogs and their care, or lack of has been in the news a lot lately.  The slaughter of 100 sled dogs in Canada has re-energized efforts by some animal activists to ban or boycott dog sled rides, a popular activity among tourists in many winter vacation spots, including here in Colorado.

Huskies siezed in abuse case are available for adoption

     Some of the huskies that were confiscated from a sled dog kennel in Park County last month will soon be available for adoption.
Three of the four Huskies brought to Colorado Springs will be made available for adoption this Saturday at the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region.

      Last we told you about a horrible case of abuse at a husky kennel here in Colorado.  Now arrest warrants have been issued for the couple that owns the sled dog kennel where investigators say they found dozens of dogs near death.
