Special assistance dogs usually help guide the blind but now some therapy dogs are helping disabled veterans who suffer with PTSD. An interesting twist is that these animals were raised by inmates in some of our nation’s most notorious prisons.

Animal hoarding case pushes Denver shelter to the limit

Denver Animal Control says they don’t have any more room for abandoned animals in shelters. That’s after dozens of cats, dogs, and birds were seized over the weekend.

Couple in court on felony animal abuse charges

     The couple accused of starving dozens of  their sled dogs at their Park County kennel appeared in court today.  
     Sam and Diane Walker’s hearing was continued and now they are scheduled be formally charged on Jan. 26 in Fairplay.
