The Hamlett Spay and Neuter Clinic is getting a new home.
For 35 years the clinic has been at its home on E. Boulder and has spayed over 148,000 dogs and cats, provided thousands of vaccinations and other services such as micro chipping, feline leukemia testing, heartworm testing and rabies licensing at low costs.

A pair of dogs in Calhan have been bitten by a rabid skunk and may have been exposed to the fatal disease.

This afternoon a near tragedy turned into a heroic story when a local firefighters pulled some little dogs out of a burning house to safety. One little dog even needed “snout to mouth” resuscitation after he was found unconcious and struggling to breathe.
