A local woman has been named a “Hero Among Us” in People Magazine for her work saving dogs.
Theresa Strader, founder of Colorado Springs based National Mill Dog Rescue (NMDR) is being honored in the current issue of the magazine. Theresa hopes the story will spread awareness about the cruel reality of puppy mills.
