On Saturday, June 5th you and you’re pets are welcome to come out and help some pets that aren’t so fortunate.  “Paws in the Park” is an annual 2-mile walk and pet fair that benefits homeless pets in Teller County.

Dogs stuck in gold mine are out and back home

       Two dogs that were trapped in a gold mine shaft near Cripple Cripple have gotten out and animal control took them home.
Yesterday rescuers were trying to coax the dogs out of a Cripple Creek and Victor Gold Mine with   food, treats and water. It didn’t work.

Sprite takes the mayoral race in Divide, but animal shelter is the real winner

   It was a hairy mayoral race in Divide, but in the end it was a “Dogocrat” that came out as top dog.
  “Sprite” beat out her closest competitor, a “Republicat” named “Walter”, by just over 500 votes.  The competition was fierce with 21 “Dogocrats” and 4 “Republicats” all vying for the title.
